Ready for Christmas? I’m not quite there either. Last year on Christmas, I noticed traffic to our Spoon Roast with Horseradish Cream recipe was through the roof, so clearly a lot of people are looking for Christmas roast recipes for the holiday. So I thought I’d put together a quick roundup for Christmas roast recipes to share some of our favorites with you. Just click through for the recipe details for the ones that catch your eye!
Christmas Roast Recipes
Our Spoon Roast with Horseradish Cream is a classic, certainly a good option for Christmas. This roast beef recipe is made from a sirloin raced, and topped off with an easy to make but super tasty horseradish sauce.
While the Spoon Roast with Horseradish Cream recipe may be the most visited on our site, I also love this Spoon Roast with Mushrooms and Farro recipe. Mushrooms and farro along with the beef make for a very satisfying meal, worthy of a Christmas roast consideration.
One more Christmas roast option from Cooking Chat is our Strip Roast with Red Wine Sauce. A simple yet delicious presentation!
Appetizers for the Holidays
We visit on Christmas, so I actually won’t be making a Christmas roast that day. I will be on appetizer duty. So let me share my go to Christmas appetizer recipes along with a couple more great choices.
As suggested by the name, our Super Easy Green Onion Dip can be put together in a flash with just a few ingredients. But it is packed with flavor thanks to the garlic and cayenne pepper, and is always a hit at our holiday parties.
We often serve the Spicy Green Onion Dip along with the Muhammara Spicy Red Pepper Dip on Christmas. They present well together, just be sure to have plenty of beverage available to go with the apps. Pinot Noir is the wine of choice to go with the red pepper dip.
Though I tend to go with the first two dips mentioned for Christmas, you might also consider try our new Roasted Beet Dip with Fennel and Garlic. The bright red color is definitely festive!
Easy Holiday Cheese Board with Kale Pesto Crostini
A good cheese board is always a great option for holiday entertaining! There are a lot of ways you can put it together, but I really liked the addition of Kale Pesto Crostini to this Holiday Cheeseboard we did last year.
