These juicy air fryer boneless pork chops are tender and flavorful, with a simple seasoning blend and an easy cooking method that gets dinner on the table quickly.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless pork chops, about 1/2 pound each
  • oil spray

For the rub

  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/3 teaspoon smoked parika

Instructions

  1. Make the rub: Combine the teaspoon of salt, garlic powder and 1/3 teaspoon of smoked paprika in a small bowl.
  2. Prep the pork chops: pat the pork chops dry, and set them on a working surface. Sprinkle about 1/2 of the rub on one side of the meat, then rub the spice blend in with your fingers. Turn the pork chops over, and sprinkle the remaining rub onto the other side of the meat, and work it in with your fingers. Set aside for about 5 minutes, as you get the air fryer ready for cooking.
  3. Set up the air fryer: Line the bottom of the air fryer basket with parchment paper.
  4. Cook the pork chops: Lightly spray the pork chops with cooking oil. Place the chops in the air fryer basket. Set the air fryer to cook for 5 minutes at 390 degrees on “air fry”. After the 5 minutes, use tongs to carefully turn the pork chops over. Air fry on the other side for another 5 minutes at 390. Check the internal temperature with an instant-read thermometer inserted into the thickest part of a pork chop. The pork is done when it reaches 145°F. In our testing, it ours have been done perfectly with 10 minutes total cooking time. If needed, continue cooking for another 1 to 2 minutes and check again. When done, place the boneless pork chops aside to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  5. Serve and enjoy! We like to serve these boneless air fryer pork chops with our No Cook BBQ Sauce.

Notes

  • Cooking time: I tested this recipe with boneless pork chops that were about 8 ounces each and a little over 1 inch thick, using a Ninja dual-basket air fryer. The size and thickness of the pork chops, as well as differences among air fryers, can affect cooking time. After 10 minutes, check the thickest part of the chops with an instant-read thermometer. The pork is done when it reaches 145°F.
  • Serving size: Two boneless pork chops totaling about 1 pound make approximately 3 servings for us. For larger appetites, plan on one pork chop per person.
  • Seasoning: Feel free to vary the seasoning blend while following the same cooking method. I have also made these pork chops using a Berbere spice blend in place of the salt, garlic powder and smoked paprika, with good results. The important thing for the cooking time is to use chops of a similar size and thickness.
