6 shrimp, peeled and deveined (buying them that way makes things easier!)
1 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
1 tsp olive oil
1 garlic clove, minced
pinch red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp brown sugar
1 tbsp canola oil
Prepare the shrimp marinade: combine the soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, red pepper flakes and brown sugar in a bowl and set aside.
Rinse and pat dry the shrimp. Add the shrimp to the shrimp marinade, and stir to coat the shrimp with the marinade. Let sit for a couple minutes as the pan heats up.
Heat the canola oil on medium high heat in a nonstick skillet. When the skillet is hot, add the shrimp. Cook the shrimp for 3 minutes on one side, turning occasionally. Turn the shrimp over, and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes until they are cooked through.
While the shrimp cook, heat the Smokehouse Brussels Nourish Bowl. Cut open the small packets of rice and sauce, and empty the contents into the Bowl with the veggies.
Cover the Bowl with a paper towel, and place it in a microwave on high for 3 minutes.
Stir the heated Nourish Bowl, and plate the contents of the Bowl. Serve the shrimp over the veggies and grain mixture, and enjoy your easy and healthy meal!
